Our Mission
Security2Cure is an annual cyber security conference and registered charity that brings together industry professionals to share knowledge from the cyber front lines while raising awareness about cancer, a disease that touches every community, including our own.
Founded by cyber security practitioners who recognised the power of community in facing life's hardest challenges, Security2Cure creates a space where technical excellence and human compassion coexist. Every conference supports our mission to educate, connect, and give back.
Security2Cure Ltd (ABN 75 678 536 395) is registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC). Donations to Security2Cure are tax-deductible.

Our Frameworks
Conference
Security2Cure events follow a deliberate structure designed to balance technical depth with meaningful human connection. Each conference day is built around four pillars:
- Technical Excellence: Cutting-edge cyber security content across offensive, defensive, and governance domains.
- Personal Narratives: Industry colleagues sharing how cancer has impacted their lives or the lives of loved ones.
- Medical Education: Qualified health professionals providing evidence-based prevention and detection guidance.
- Community Connection: Structured networking, sponsor engagement, and opportunities to support the charity mission.
Health
Alongside the conference programme, Security2Cure promotes a practical approach to personal health that speaks the language of cyber security. Many of us plan for incidents at work, yet fewer of us apply the same discipline to our own wellbeing, screening, and family preparedness.
Our health framework maps familiar security concepts to everyday health decisions: planning before a crisis, preventing avoidable harm, detecting problems early, and responding with support when it matters most. It is not medical advice, but a way to start conversations, reduce stigma, and help our community look after themselves and each other.
Plan · Prevent · Detect · Respond
Our health framework mirrors the principles cyber security professionals live by every day. Click a section title to read more.
Plan and prepare for worst case scenario. Regardless of age, here are some things to consider:
- Safely document your digital life: accounts and passwords
- Arrange insurances: Life, Health, Income Protection
- Document and understand family medical history
- Arrange a last will and testament
Prevention is better than cure. It may reduce severity and improve your recovery:
- Practice meditation, mindfulness, and relaxation
- Stay up to date with vaccinations
- Maintain a healthy diet
- Routinely exercise and sleep
- Reduce alcohol consumption
- Avoid smoking and vaping
Any SOC will ensure they are covering all their bases, so should you:
- Regularly get skin checks
- Book annual health checks
- Monitor your body for changes
- Arrange mammogram and cervical checks
- Arrange prostate (PSA) checks
- Arrange bowel checks
When something goes wrong, ensure you get the support you need:
- Seek medical advice
- Practice self-care
- Acknowledge emotions
- Connect with resources
- Consider support groups or counselling
All attendees, speakers, sponsors, and volunteers are expected to abide by our Code of Conduct.
